The Coalition for Charitable GamingThe Coalition for Charitable Gaming is a broad coalition of interested parties that look to protect, preserve and grow the charitable gaming industry. The Coalition is financed in part by charities, manufacturers, distributors and citizens who understand the critical part that charitable gaming plays in our communities. We are founded on the belief that good, fair regulations make charitable gaming strong. We look to be part of the solution to solving issues that face the charitable gaming industry and will partner with those who share these values. If you wish to contact The Coalition for Chartiable Gaming, please email us at infoccg@ccgky.org. The Kentucky Department of Charitable Gaming Looks to Monopolize Charitable Gaming in the CommonwealthThe Coalition for Charitable Gaming is opposed to the Kentucky Department of Charitable Gaming's (DCG) proposal to take over charitable gaming in the state. The DCG's proposal would eliminate the charities ability to choose the products they want to use, the distributors they want to buy products from, would mandate what equipment the charitable organizations would have to buy, would mandate the use of a yet to be developed software system and greatly reduce the amount of money charities will be able to make from charitable gaming. The DCG has issued five request for proposals (RFP's) without legislative approval. By doing this the DCG will seek a very general statue to authorize it to promulgate regulations to fit whatever RFP they choose to accept. The Kentucky General Assembly would have no say in the specifics of the program. |
